Are there a lot of these around hwere you used to live? They are quite bizarre structures... I have a theory that the more incompetent/corrupt/dysfunctional a form of totalitarian government is, the more it feels the need to make big sculptures to impressive everyone about how amazing it is... it's like the adage that the size of a man's dick is inversely proportional to the engine in his car :D

Just make sure you don't apply some horrid fake hdr effect in photoshop afterwards.
