Good day everyone, it was a while since I was posting here.

I have started working on a fish in ZBrush, and encountered a problem idk how to deal with it.

I have an art work I am basicly starting to work from and a real fish reference with some fin details i want to use on my fish model but, im not sure how to make it. I want fin skin on my fish to be half transparent in between fin bones, but Im a bit confused if i should model it somehow in special way or model whatever way i want and keep that problem aside untill texturing moment comes in.

any kind of advice would be appreciated

im not an expert but, im pretty certain that you can make semi transpareny with a texture which has an alpha channel,
so dont worry about transparency 4 now smile.gif gl!

Yes, you'll need to paint a greyscale image for transparency - white is opaque and black is completely transparent, shades of grey equal varying levels of transparency. For something organic and complex like a fish you may also need to factor in translucency and / or blurred refraction. But worry about that level of complexity later in the course - learning to paint alpha maps or opacity maps now is a good start.
