a shading test. still needs a fair bit of modelling to be done, but just trying to play with the SSS shader. textures are really rough, just to see where we are going with this. any ideas welcome

hes looking pretty sweet zan, the shader looks a bit purple to me for some reason but the soft specular is looking pretty skin like but could maybe use a bit of colour to make it look less plasticy. Model is coming along well and I really like that hairstyle he looks like a nice guy. Keep up the good work can't wait to see him with finished textures etc

yeah the hair was pretty much glossy plastic preset, barely touched it. will definitely sort it out. thanks for looking. oh yeah btw, I did want him to look a bit plastic jason. maybe we will drop the whole sss thing, not sure. i was thinking stop motion look like this.

Yeah caroline had a very interesting visual style and would be really groovy to see that look come across and I think staying away from too much realism might help you hit that "tone" sweet spot your looking for for your very tone sensitive piece
