Okay more blocking out. A very rough bump/spec/diffuse to get an idea of where i'm going with this, and trying tp decide on a good size for the goggles.

In my opinion they look okay on his face but when they're raised they look way too small.

face is looking really odd man, you should be getting the face correct before adding beards and goggles
looks like his mustache has eaten his top lip, and why is his brow furrowed in concentration?, should be sculpting in a neutral expression.
his lips look to wide which is making his jaw look small, you could do with chunking the jaw up some more.
the forehead isnt sweeping back naturally, it bulges out toward the middle.
the lines from the corners of his nose to his lips are drooping making him look jowlish.
and the lines from the corners of the eyes out arent heliping that.
you need to get the neck proportion right, a giant neck might make him look like he has a small neck so be careful.
the guys ear is fused to his head.

for the goggles you want the shape of them to sweep along the head further to cover more peripheral vision and form to the head better.
the goggles look ok on top imo, i think its just the lack of hair and odd perspective thats making em look small.

Thanks for the advice max, I guess i need to be using a lot more reference.

Next up, HUGE BEARD
Only a rough, untopologised test based on the concepts to see if the volumes work, at the moment the silhouette isn't working for me at all though, if anyone has any advice i'd appreciate it.

nice work with the head sculpt, definite improvement, watch your proportions with the body, looking ok at the mo but make sure you get them spot on, arms looking a little too short and wrists too wide at the minute, keep it up.
